Round 22 Preview: Adelaide vs Western Bulldogs
August 29th 2008 01:52
The Western Bulldogs may already know who they will be meeting in next week's finals series, but Adelaide is still involved in a five-way tussle for home final.
Depending on how North Melbourne, Collingwood, St. Kilda and Sydney all fare, the Crows could end up playing in one of three states across Australia.
The Doggies know that they will meet Hawthorn, and have known for quite some time. But the one thing that has not impressed many people is that they have 'switched' off, losing games in which they were expected to win.
Many experts have written them off as premiership contenders due to these results, but this week, will want to prove that they, too, are in the mix for September glory.
Adelaide has struggled up froward after losing Brett Burton and Jason Porplyzia, but found Nick Gill as a suitable replacement. Even so, the scorers weren't troubled too much last week, as the Crows could not kick too many goals. They will need to find someone who can regularly kick some majors and put some scoreboard pressure on.
