Round 21 Preview: Port Adelaide vs Melbourne
August 21st 2008 08:16
Melbourne encounters another team which is situated in the bottom four like it did last week against the West Coast Eagles, and it taught them a footballing lesson.
This time, the Dees must travel to South Australia to play Port Adelaide, who are already thinking about 2009.
Shaun Burgoyne and Darren Lade weren't for the Power, as they both dominated against the Pies. Burgoyne had an astonishing 18 clearances and Lade had 35 hitouts and took seven marks.
Port's Michael Wilson has decided to also hang up his boots, and he will play in front of his home crowd for the last time. His team will not want to send him off without a proper salute.
Which young midfield will shine? Will both teams be trying to protect their precious first round pick, or will they be going hard at the ball?
