Roos search for gold on Good Friday

Having rejected a $100 million move up to the Gold Coast, North Melbourne could make another push to play a match on Good Friday, helping to make up some of the financial cost lost by not moving to the Sunshine State.
The Kangaroos believe that combining the match with the traditional Annual Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal, the whole package could be a success to all.
The team was set to earn $1.2 million a year for playing three 'home' games a season at Carrara Stadium for the nexy two years. Playing on Good Friday woul help ease the squeeze, acoording to Kangaroos Chief Eugene Arocca.
"We don't just mysteriously pull $1.2 million out of our pocket without having some sort of pain," Arocca said.
"I would think a Good Friday match between North Melbourne and Carlton, the two closest football clubs to the Royal Children's Hospital, just seems to fit from a synergy point of view."
The AFL has traditionally refused to play football on Good Friday, but all parties would need to sit down and discuss the idea thoroughly.
