R9 Preview: Richmond vs Essendon
May 22nd 2008 09:49
Having combined for a total of two points in the last four weeks, both Richmond and Essendon will want the four points on offer during the Dreamtime at the 'G clash.
With Rchmond looking the better of the two teams, drawing against the Western Bulldogs, and pushing all the way against Hawthorn, St. Kilda and Geelong. As always, watch out for star forward turned wingmen Matthew Richardson. His performances this season have been the best in a very long time.
Essendon have been getting worse as the season goes on. Suffering their third ten-goal belting last week at the hands of a skillful Sydney side, the Bombers will want to set the record straight. Even though they are still plagued by injuries, their youngsters have not gelled as a team, and played the football that Essendon fans have been accustomed to over the years.
No team will want to be sitting in the bottom four by the end of the round, so a fiery contest full of passion will ensue.
