R9 Preview: Port Adelaide vs Sydney
May 22nd 2008 09:32
Mark Williams will want to rectify Port Adelaide blowing a 32-point quarter-time lead against the Hawks last week, after the Power looked like they were going to hand Hawthorn their first loss of the season. But the yellow and gold managed to recover from a very slow start, and dwindled away the margin, and ultimately won the match.
Sydney looked impressive against the Bombers at Telstra Stadium, and will want to play like that again this week.Without Barry Hall up froward, Michael O'Loughlin has really stepped up and provided that forward focus that Sydney have been accustomed to over the years.
The other major forward in the game will be Warren Tredrea, and after kicking four majors last week - and setting up a handful for his team - he will be hard to shut down.
The midfield contest will also dominate proceedings, with a multitude of players who could possibly dominate in the centre.
