R9 Preview: Collingwood vs Geelong
May 22nd 2008 09:23
The Magpies go into this match with up and down form, winning against below-average Saints last week. As we know, Geelong are sitting pretty on the top of the ladder, undefeated so far in 2008.
Collingwood was one of the only teams that really challenged the Cats last season, almost knocking them off their unbeatable perch in the Preliminary Final last year. The Magpies want revenge for their agonising five-points loss
Defensive pressure at both ends of the ground will go a long in determining who walks away with bragging rights. Matthew Scarlett will take on Anthony Rocca, with the former having the edge in the past. Rocca will want to rectify that ledger, with a strong performance tomorrow night.
Both midfields are packed with talent, so whoever can supply good ball to the forwards, whilst keeping up the defensive pressure, will see them with four points.
