R9 Preview: Carlton vs Fremantle
May 22nd 2008 09:31
Two of the most inconsistent teams for the 2008 season will face-off, with hopefully one of them walking away with all four points.
Freo have been extremely disappointing thus far. After surrendering a 51-point half-time lead against the Demons two weeks ago, they put a spirited effort against the Bulldogs last week, only to see them get pipped at the post once again. They will want to win, not only for team morale, but also for their bemused fans.
Carlton have been hot and cold, but one man who is on fire in forward Brendan Fevola. After kicking six for Victoria in the Hall of Fame match, he backed up with five against a strong Brisbane outfit, which saw many big names return.
If Fev is not marked tightly, watch out, and watch the scoreboard tick over in Carlton's favour.
Can the Blues beat both Western Australian teams this season?
