R8 Preview: Fremantle vs Western Bulldogs
May 16th 2008 02:04
Once feared as a horror trip, playing in Perth is now not as scary, with both Western Australian teams languishing near the bottom of the ladder.
Fremantle looked home and hosed after leading by 51 points at half-time against a hapless and winless Melbourne side. But the Demons fired up in front of their fans, and stormed home with a very wet sail, and overcame the Dockers by a goal.
The Bulldogs went to the Harbour City and took the four points away from Sydney. Adam Cooney played sensationally, kicking five goals and getting 25 possessions in a best-a-field performance.
The doggies will want to continue their unbeaten start to the season, whilst Fremantle will want to hold on to the slimmest possibility of making the finals. Forward Brad Johnson looks set to return, and will play a key role up front.
