R7 Preview: Richmond v St. Kilda
May 2nd 2008 09:11
This match could also provide a tight contest, as an in-form Richmond side come up against a strong Saints squad.
Even though both sides last week did not get the four points against Hawthorn and Port Adelaide respectively, both teams put in spirited performances, which left the fans wanting more out of tomorrow's clash.
Richmond demolished Fremantle in Perth by 10 goals a few weeks ago, and backed up that match with a controversial draw against the Bulldogs. The Tigers only lost by two goals against table-toppers Hawthorn, but showed glimpses throughout the game, of that form that has seen them figure in some people's Finals thoughts.
St. Kilda promised a lot at the start of the season, but have been up-and-down at best. Kane Cornes restricted Nick Dal Santo to 13 possessions, whilst accumulating 33 of his own, as the Power beat the Saints at AAMI Stadium. Dal Santo will want to put in a blinder on the weekend.
Fraser Gehrig has been thrown another lifeline by Ross Lyon, and will need to kick a few goals to keep his position in the squad.
