R7 Preview: Melbourne v Fremantle
May 2nd 2008 09:36
Melbourne supporters should come out in droves this week to see their beloved Demons take on a Fremantle side without suspended midfielder Josh Carr.
Much has been made about the apparent lack of interest in the game, with some betting agencies even taking money on how many people will actually go to the MCG on Sunday.
Fremantle almost knocked off Geelong at Subiaco last week, and will need a similar game plan to beat the less-than-impressive Demons, who are stuck to the bottom of the ladder - winless after six games.
If the Dockers can take Russell Robertson out of the game, and Aaron Sandilands has a field day against former Docker Jeff White, Fremantle will go a long way in securing a valuable four points away from home.
Should the opposite occur, could we be hearing the sounds of It's a grand old flag for the first time in 2008?
