R20 Preview: Richmond vs Hawthorn
August 16th 2008 04:13
With Hawthorn wanting to shore up second position from the Western Bulldogs and Richmond theoretically out of the race for the finals, this game could turn out to be a gem.
The Hawks have been flying in the last few weeks, and have knocked off both Collingwood and Brisbane by hefty margins. Lance Franklin has been getting ever so close to his 100th goal for the season, and looks like he could get it this week.
Terry Wallace came out during the week and said that he believes his team are deservedly where they currently sit on the ladder, as they have not been able to defeat teams above them - only below.
Much has been made of Mitch Morton this season, especially after some of his performances mid-year. He has been struggling as of late, but will need to put on a performance in the next few weeks. Could he do it tonight?
Just which Richmond side will come out and play - the attacking, aggressive one which puts on a show, or the confused, unassured one, which kicks the ball to the opposition?
