R20 Preview: Carlton vs North Melbourne
August 16th 2008 04:25
Both teams must win in order for their finals' chances to get any better than they currently are.
Carlton are just outside the eight, sitting in tenth position, and have the toughest run home - with matches against North, Brisbane and Hawthorn.
If they can win two of the three, then they will have put themselves in with a great shot of making it. But they need to win this week. They come into this match having destroyed Port Adelaide by 11 goals last week, and in some form.
North have won their last five matches and are equal on points with Sydney, who currently sit in fourth position on percentage. The Kangaroos want that double-chance, but need to beat the Blues to put more pressure on Sydney for it.
How will North go against another superstar forward in Brendan Fevola? They managed to shut down Lance Franklin earlier in the season, so will they employ the same tactics?
