R19 Preview: Geelong vs Melbourne
August 7th 2008 10:43
Even though this match may not have ay bearing whatsoever in the formation of the Finals series, top playing bottom always entertains.
The two oldest teams in the AFL line up and play in the 150-year celebration match, which will be shown live on Channel Seven prior to the Beijing 2008 Olympics Opening Ceremony.
It will not be about who will win the match, but how many points can Melbourne keep Geelong to, as the Cats have only lost once this season. An almost impossible task lies ahead for the Demons.
Last time, Melbourne lost to Geelong by 30 points in Round three, when the Dees had been belted by 104 and 95 points the previous fortnight.
Just who will star for the Dees, and and how many possessions will th Cats collect as a team?
