R18 Preview: St. Kilda vs Port Adelaide
August 1st 2008 02:20
St. Kilda and Port have different aspirations for the remainder of the 2008 season. The Saints are aiming for a finals spot, whilst Port are already thinking about 2009, blooding youngsters and seeing what they have got.
Even though St. Kilda knocked off Hawthorn two weeks ago with a superb performance, they were lacklustre against West Coast in Perth last week. The Eagles were able to turn a 26-point deficit into a 17-point winning margin.
Port's season has never got going, and has struggled to keep up with the pack. Having claimed to be the best to not win a game earlier in the season, it has struggled to find the form it had last season, when it made the Grand Final.
Warren Tredrea will be missing for Port, as he has been sent to have shoulder surgery, in preparation for the 2009 season.
