R18 Preview: Geelong vs Richmond
August 1st 2008 01:30
The Cats are going into this match as the raging-hot favourites for the Premiership, and after defeating both the Western Bulldogs and Hawthorn in the last fortnight, they deserve to have that tag.
And these results have been without both Gary Ablett and Cameron Ling, who have been missing through injury. Ling returns this week, and will be a strong inclusion in an already-potent midfield.
Richmond has won four of its last five matches, and looks set to have a tilt at making the finals. And with a favourable run home, there is no reason why Terry Wallace's men cannot make the top eight, if not the top four.
With Greg Miller gone from the Richmond board, and utility Graham Polak leaving hospital this week, the Tigers will have some much-needed motives to play well.
