R16 Preview: Geelong vs Western Bulldogs
July 17th 2008 06:23
What can you say about this match, but we are going to be set for a Preliminary Final preview.
First plays second, and other than Hawthorn, no other team in the league can compare to the Cats and Bulldogs. Both teams have only lost two games and drawn once combined.
Geelong will sorely miss both Gary Ablett and Cameron Ling with ankle and cheekbone injuries. The last time the Cats played without both of them was back in 2002, when the team was being criticised for their style of play. Now, they are far from it.
Even though theyr victories have not been by big margins, the Doggies have beaten quality opposition in the past month, including Collingwood and Brisbane. They will also get back Ryan Griffen and Scott Welsh, who missed last week's match against Melborune.
A cracking match is forecast, and the winner will almost cement themselves as Premiership favourites.
