R15 Preview: Geelong vs Fremantle
July 10th 2008 09:41
When the Cats and the Dockers met earlier this season, a close match was the result, with Geelong managing to walk away with the four points.
But Fremantle showed some strong signs that they were a team that could play, but needed the right opponent to bring it out. Matthew Pavlich and Chris Tarrant have shown that they can play together, and can combine to lethal effect. And Rhys Palmer has been showing that he will be a player of the future, and looks set to win the NAB Rising Star Award.
The Cats have gone up another gear in the last fortnight, and no-one seems capable of stopping them, re-acquring the insatiable hunger they had last season. And with their small injury list, they are looking good to go back-to-back.
How will the Dockers go without Peter Bell, who decided to hang up his boots earlier this week? Will the Cats spoil their party for their former captain? Will they put a double-tag on Gary Ablett like they did in Round six, or will they choose one man to shut him down?
