R15 Preview: Colingwood vs Adelaide
July 10th 2008 09:43
Both teams come into this match with indifferent form, as the Pies fended off Sydney at ANZ Stadium, whilst the Crows were torn apart by a rampaging Geelong side at AAMI Stadium.
The Crows have also been on a three-game losing streak, and will want to snap that as soon as possible if they are to be taken seriously in September.
Their foward-line structure was put some serious pressure last week, and dismally failed. In fact, the Crow defenders ended up arguing amongst one another instead of being hungry for the ball.
As for the Pies, their backline stood up to a strong Sydney forward setup, and kept the Swans to two goals up to three-quarter time. And even though he took a Barry Hall punch to the face, Shane Wakelin bet the marquee forward hands-down.
Will Alan Didak play a role more up the ground like he did against the Swans, or will he play more in the 50? Can Travis Cloke fire up like he did last week, and be the target that the Pies need near the goalsquare?
