R14 Preview: Western Bulldogs vs Port Adelaide
June 26th 2008 09:50
The Western Bulldogs and Port Adelaide enter this match in contrasting form. The Doggies are flying, and were able to come back from a 23-point deficit to win by ten points against a battered Collingwood side, whilst Port narrowly lost to RIchmond by four points at home.
The Power's season is effectively over according to coach Mark Williams, whilst the Bulldogs will want to reach the same heights Port reached last year. Not only have they almost secured a top-fourn finish, but are fighting it out for top place.
Kane Cornes will have the toughest job in football: trying to limit Adam Cooney's influence on the match, whilst still racking up possessions himself. If Cornes can do this, he will go a long way in helping his team.
Port has beaten the Doggies twice in Darwin - in fact, the only two times the teams have met in the Northern capital. Can they do it again and go into the mid-season break on a high?
