R14 Preview: Adelaide vs Geelong
July 4th 2008 01:03
After a week off, both the Crows and the Cats will be ready and raring to go in this tough encounter.
The Crows pushed the Hawks to within four points only two rounds ago, and will want to repeat the same thing, only this time with the result going in their favour. They will be missing Andrew McLeod from the clash, as he is injured.
Can the Crows keep their three-quarter time lead and hold on for the four points? Or will they give up the lead ala Fremantle for the third time in as many weeks?
For the Cats, they have gone up another gear since the defeat at the hands of Collingwood. This was clearly felt the last time the hoops played, as they destroyed the Eagles by 135 points.
Gary Ablett has nnow moved into clear-favourite for the Brownlow with four 30-plus possession matches in the last month, and Robert Shirley will have his hands full shutting him down.
Matthew Scarlett returns from a hamstring injury, and will bolster the backline, which has performed even in his absence. Will he take Jason Porplyzia or Brett Burton, or someone else?
