R13 Preview: St. Kilda vs Fremantle
June 19th 2008 10:14
After saying that the axe will be swung at the selection table this week, St. Kilda coach Ross Lyon has dropped five players for some new "blood" against the Dockers.
To feel the axe has been high-profile midfielder Nick Dal Santo and forward Stephen Milne, who have nboth had indifferent form for the Saints. In their place come debutants Brad McEvoy, Robert Eddy and Jarryd Allen.
For Freo, they come into this match with a win under their belt, after defeating the Kangaroos over at Subiaco by eight goals. They haven't been in the worst form, but have been unable to close matches out, fading especially in the last quarter.
On the road poses a problem for the Dockers, as they have struggled away from Perth. They have yet to win a game in Melbourne this season. If there is a chance to break the hoodoo, it may be against a determined St. Kilda outfit, not wanting to face the Ross Lyon axe.
Could it happen? Docker forwards Matthew Pavlich and Chris Tarrant will have a big say in that.
