R13 Preview: Brisbane vs Adelaide
June 19th 2008 11:06
Even though both sides suffered a loss last week, they did lose to the Western Bulldogs and Hawthorn respectively, who are both flying.
Adelaide have been in indifferent form, winning three of their last five games. They were out of the first half against Richmond a fortnight ago, but picked up their bundle after half time to win by over eight goals. They did push the Hawks all the way, only to be pipped by a Luke Hodge goal.
The Crows welcome back Brett Burton after the forward was suspended for two weeks for striking, and the Lions get their leading goalkicker in Daniel Bradshaw back to pair up with Jonathan Brown.
The question for Crows fans will be who will Nathan Bassett take? He comprehensively beat Lance Franklin last week, and was just-about best-on-ground. Will be go to Brown, a player he has taken on several times and done a good job on, or will he go to Bradshaw, and try to keep his scoring tally down? Ben Rutten or Nathan Bock will get the other.
Brisbane will want to try to get on another four-game winning streak coming into the Finals, not only to get their confidence up, but also a home final and instill some fear into the other seven Finals' sides.
This match will go a long way in establishing this.
