R12 Preview: Richmond vs Melbourne
June 12th 2008 06:59
Even though both teams may be sitting near the bottom of the ladder, this match may prove to be a great game with both teams wanting to win.
Matthew Richardson comes into the match, needing to only kick five more goals to equal - and a sixth to overtake - Kevin Bartlett's record on both the Richmond and AFL all-time goalkickers list.
His team will want to also perform, after letting their oppositions into matches after half-time. They squandered a 14-point lead at half-time to Adelaide, only to see them lose by 50 points.
Melbourne, on the other hand, have been competitive against some of the league's best teams, only losing by a few goals to Geelong, Hawthorn and Collingwood just last week. They will want to play well for their possible new chairman and former great, Jim Stynes, who is expected to take over the helm at the Demons.
