R12 Preview: Fremantle vs North Melbourne
June 12th 2008 06:54
In what seems a mismatch given both sides position on the ladder, this match could turn out to be the upset of the round.
Fremantle have been choking in the final quarters, having led at three-quarter time in five of their last six matches. They managed to reduce the margin from 40 to 19 points against the Lions at home, but it still wasn't enough to see them home.
Matthew Pavlich and Chris Tarrant were lively against a resiliant Brisbane defence, and showed glimpses that they can work together to put big scores on the board. But they need better supply from their midfielders to do so.
North Melbourne coped last week, going down gallantly against Geelong by two goals. They were missing Nathan Thomspon and Corey Jones with injury, but both may play if they pass fitness tests.
Brent Harvey will need to be closely watched by the Dockers, as the small forward has been in sensational form.
