Brisbane def Fremantle by 22 points.
Brisbane has won its fourth consecutive match and continued to put pressure on the top four by beating Framantle by 22 points.
But it wasn't the Bradshaw-Brown show for the home side, as the former was kept to only three touches and goalless. He came off in the third quarter, holding his hamstring, and did not appear for the rest of the game. Brown himself managed to kick three goals, likewise for Travis Johnstone, who also got 26 possessions.
The margin was reduced from 40 points at half time, to 19 at the end of the third, with Matthew Pavilch kicking three to leave his side with a chance to break their GABBA hoodoo. But it wasn't enough, as the Lions took the match by 22 points.
Rhys Plamer firmed up as an even bigger favourite to claim the NAB Rising Star Award, with a superb 30-possesion performance. Michael Johnson also collected 30 touches for the visitors.
For the home side, Joel MacDonald racked up 30 possessions, and Simon Black kept his Brownlow Medal chances intact with another brilliant performance, getting 28 touches and kicking a goal.
Heath Black and Troy Selwood may be facing the music during the week for their wrestling altercation, with Black also having to answer to a striking charge.
Western Buldogs def St. Kilda by 27 points.
Another ferocious performance has seen the Western Bulldogs keep up the pressure on Geelong and Hawthorn at the top of the ladder, with a 27-point victory over St. Kilda.
It was the second time that the Dogs have overcome the Saints, and they did it in much the same style as last time. A sluggish start saw the Saints take the lead going into quarter-time. But at half-time, the roles had been reversed.
Superstar Jason Akermanis was finding space - and the ball - and could have easily kicked five goals for the term, but ended up finishing with 3.2 for the term and 6.4 for the match on his way to 24 possessions.
Jason Gram accumulated 28 touches and Nick Dal Santo 27, but it wasn't enough for the Saints, who now sit two points out of the top eight.
Daniel Giansiracusa back up Akermanis with four goals of his own, and 24 touches, as the Doggies ran rampant. Matthew Boyd continued his stellar season with 34 possessions and two goals.
Carlton def Port Adelaide by 12 points.
A seven-goal to none last quarter has seen Carlton upstage their more-fancied opponents at AAMI Stadium.
Trailing by 38 points at the 19-minute mark of the last quarter - and having only kicked four goals all game - the Blues managed to kick the last eight goals of the game to come away with the four points away from home.
Three last-quarter goals with No. 1 draft pick Matthew Kreuzer saw the Blues snatch the unlikeliest of victories, and puts them in a strong position to possibly make the final eight.
Marc Murphy got 33 touches and Chris Judd 32 for the victors, as Brendan Fevola was kept to only two goals and seven possessions. For the home side, Kane Cornes got played a brilliant game, amassing 30 touches, and Brendon Lade was the dominant ruckman, with 38 hitouts. David Rodan was the only multiple goalkicker for the Power.
