R11 Preview: Richmond vs Adelaide
June 6th 2008 06:41
Both teams come into this match in opposing form. Adelaide have won four of their last five games, only losing to West Coast over at Subiaco a fortnight ago. Whilst Richmond are struggling in the lower half of the ladder, having won only once against a desolated Essendon outfit two weeks ago.
Adelaide's hold on a top four position is being challenged by the likes of Sydney and Collingwood, and only a win against the Tigers will strengthen their claim on that illustrioud position.
The Crows will be missing forward Brett Burton, who copped a two-week suspension for a front-on bump on Essendon's Henry Slattery. Richmond will also be without their captain in Kane Johnson, who injured his knee.
But which Tigers outfit will show up on Saturday? The spirited, feisty squad, who wants to win to prove that they have been having bad luck claiming victories all season? Or, the Richmond team who will put up an effort for half a match, and then fade out?
We can only wait and see. Watch out for Nathan Bock to man up on Matthew Richardson. Whoever wins that battle will go a long way in winning the match for their team.
