R10 Preview: St. Kilda vs Melbourne
May 29th 2008 11:27
Will St. Kilda coach Ross Lyon be made to eat humble pie after he labelled his team as being labelled "mentally and physically soft" in last week's loss to Brisbane?
The Saints will want to not only prove their coach wrong, but also all the experts who have said that they cannot be a serious contender for silverware this season. They are also saying - even at four wins out of nine - that the Saints' season hangs in the balance.
Melbourne will want to come out fighting this week, after almost beating the undefeated Hawks last Sunday. Up by two goals at half-time, the Demons showed that they have the list to mix it even with the best teams in the league, even though they are languishing on the bottom of the ladder.
Even though he was remebered last week, some of the players will want to put in a spirited performance for their former captain in David Neitz, who retired from the game. Will this be enough incentive to see the red and blue get off the bottom?
