R10 Preview: Collingwood vs West Coast
May 29th 2008 10:29
Having knocked Geelong well and truly off their almight perch to the tune of 86 points last week, Collingwood will want to keep their impressive football going as they take on the Eagles at the MCG on Saturday.
The Magpies managed to string two consecutive wins together for the first time this season, and will be full of confidence going into the clash against Mick Malthouse's former team. Their ferocious tackling and ability to stick to - and follow - a game plan will be again tested.
The Eagles are also coming off a 50-point win against a flying Adelaide side, which ended their seven-game losing streak. Andrew Embley and Matt Rosa were outstanding, in what was a balanced, dominant performance.
Can they earn their third win of the season against a team which has expectations of holding aloft the Premiership during the last week in September? Have the Pies mentally and physically exhausted themselves, thus, not able to perform again to that standard?
We shall have to wait and see.
