No grey about red and blue

The Melbourne Football Club has decided to scrap the alternate grey strip worn last week against St. Kilda and stick with the traditional blue and red guernsey.
The move is being applauded by fans who were against the alternate strip from the get-go. The strip will stay until the end of the season, when a review of the away jersey will be done.
Club CEO Paul McNamee has gained permission from the AFL to do a redesign, even though AFL rules state that a review and change can only be done every two years.
"We do want to listen to our supporters and this is a way of doing that after the brouhaha on the weekend," he said yesterday.
"This obviously didn't sit well with our supporters and we have talked to the AFL to revisit that.
"We want red and blue as far as possible," McNamee said. "They are the colours that we own and they are what is near and dear to us and our supporters.
"We will do everything possible to find a variation that uses more of the red and blue."
What will the board come up? Hopefully, something that will inspire the Dees to get off the bottom of the ladder.
The Demons play Collingwood in the traditional Queen's Birthday match at the MCG.
