How ironic Fevola

Some people have all the luck in the world. And one of them is Carlton forward Brendan Fevola.
After his bagful of goals against Collingwood, his management team, Velocity Sports, is sitting down with Carlton CEO Greg Swann and football manager Sephen Icke to discuss one of the most talked-about contracts in the AFL.
Swann revealed that the Blues have offered Fevola a three-year deal, but not the astronomical $2.4 million figure reported several weeks ago.
"We have already made an offer and we'll see how it pans out," Swann said. "We've put an offer and we'll see what they are ask for.
"He's happy with three years."
Not only did the shagpile kick eight goals against archenemy Collingwood, he also took ten marks and 14 contested possessions. He also had 14 shots at goal, so his goal tally for the day could have been in the double figures had he been more accurate.
Playing in his 150th game against his old side, Heath Scotland said that Fev is such an important player to the Blues, he determines how well the rest of the side plays.
"He's the linchpin, he's the barometer for us. Just look at what he did to their backs today.
When he's on no one can go with him, so if we can keep all the rest of the positions going well and when he's up, it puts us in a good position."
And it looks good for his contract negotiation position as well.
